Diana Princess of Wales Challenge
This year the Diana Princess of Wales Challenge will take place on Sunday 1st September. Hosted by Plymouth Rotary Club this event offers people with learning disabilities a unique opportunity to:
- Enjoy the thrill of crewing on a yacht in the sheltered waters of Plymouth Sound with highly skilled yacht owners and their crew.
- Following the yachts on board a motor-powered boat to ‘watch the pursuit race close up’
- Watching the pursuit race from the comfort of the Royal Western Yacht Club
This free event starts at 1pm and finishes at 4pm. Refreshments will be provided by Plymouth Rotary and a commemorative medal will be presented to everyone who takes part in the pursuit challenge. Parking is normally free. However, we recommend you contact the Marina at Queen Anne’s Battery and check.
Friends carers and families are welcome to attend the race from the comfort of the yacht club.
