The Forever Purge Vue Cinema Plymouth – Movie Group
On Monday 19th July Movie Group is going to see The Forever Purge, at Vue Cinema Plymouth. Following the presidential elections from the last year and abolition of the Purge, a Mexican couple escaping from a drug cartel is stranded on a Texas ranch. There, they will be at the mercy of a group of outsiders who plan to unlawfully continue their own Purge, and turn against the couple to eliminate them.
Yourway encourages people to come together based on shared interests. We support people individually to access established community groups – until they feel ready to attend future events independently. For information, any updated screening times, and how to join the group, please call Colin Hughson on 07557 118352. You can also use your CEA card if you plan to see the movie with your support worker or carer.
A brief history of Movie Group
Eleven years ago Colin Hughson (a Team Leader at Yourway) discovered people he and his team supported, shared how much they enjoyed going to the movies but found they often experienced a great deal of anxiety when accessing the cinema. Colin, a huge movie fan himself, volunteered to set up and help a user-led group that would could encourage people with a learning disability, autism or underlying mental health needs to come together and watch the movies of their choice – until confident about visiting the cinema independently. Since setting up Movie Club, eleven years ago, the Movie Group has grown and now offers its members a range of film-orientated social activities in as well as watching great movies.
